IIFT 2016: Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Delhi conducted IIFT 2016 MBA IB entrance exam on November 27, 2016. IIFT 2016 entrance exam was conducted for admission to two-year full-time Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IB) programme, offered at IIFT Delhi and Kolkata centres. IIFT has announced the IIFT 2016 Result on December 23 and has also released the IIFT Score cards on December 28, 2016. The officials have announced IIFT 2016 Score card on December 28. Earlier, IIFT 2016 result for MBA-IB has been dclared on December 23, 2016. The result of IIFT 2016 mention names, roll numbers, application numbers of students shortlisted for the selection procedure. The final results, after the selection process, have been announced on March 31. Last year a total of 1508 candidates were shortlisted for further admission process.
Based on marks obtained in IIFT 2016 MBA IB entrance exam, candidates will be shortlisted and called for selection procedure of IIFT. The selection procedure consists of Essay Writing, Group Discussion, and Interview rounds. It is likely that the selection procedure will be held in January/February 2017 at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai.
Foreign Nationals/NRI Candidates/Children of NRIs: The admission of candidates under this category is on the basis of GMAT score only.
IIFT 2016 is expected to be taken by around 40,000 candidates. Last year, the total number of registrations was 42,976 out of which 37,723 took the rest. The total number of seats for both the IIFT Delhi and Kolkata campuses is around 360.
The answer key for the IIFT 2016 MBA IB entrance exam has been released by experts from the noted MBA coaching centres on November 27. IIFT does not release the official Answer Key for the exam. The test takers have to compare their answer choices with the answer keys from the specific set of question paper issued by the coaching institutes to estimate their scores.
As per the IIFT eligibility criteria 2016, defined by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Delhi, candidates must have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any of the discipline. Students in their final year of graduation can also apply for the test. Later, candidates have to show proof of requisite qualification by 7thOctober 2017. There is no age limit to apply for IIFT 2016.
Students who registered for the test by filing the IIFT application form, had received the admit cards by the second week of November 2016 via post. IIFT had sent the admit cards to the registered candidates through mail. The option to download it from the official website was also enabled by the institute from November 15, 2016 onwards. Candidates without IIFT admit card were not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Candidates are advised to download IIFT 2016 admit card and retain untill and unless the selection procedure is completed.
The IIFT aspirant should reach at IIFT exam centre on November 27, 2016, latest by 9.00 a.m. Candidates were allowed with print out of admit card and one of the following documents:
The IIFT 2016 was a multiple choice objective type written test which was available only in English language. The duration of the test was two hours, to be held from 10 AM to 12 noon. The test consisted of 4 sections namely General Knowledge & Awareness, English Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis. The number of questions was 123. There is differential marking scheme followed for each section. The negative marking for wrong questions is 1/3 of the allotted marks.

IIFT 2016 was conducted at 20 test centres across the country. Candidates had to select the test centres while filling the form. Candidates were not allowed to change any test centres after November 4, 2016.
IIFT Exam Centres
Students who opted for Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam as centres for written test need to select one of the above-specified centres for the selection procedure. Group Discussion, Interview and Essay Writing to be held during January/February 2017 at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai.
The IIFT application forms were available in both online and offline modes. For online application form of IIFT 2016, candidates needed to download the form, fill in with correct details, paste a photograph and send the same to the IIFT address.
For offline applications, students could purchase the prospectus in cash or via demand draft, fill in the same and send it to the IIFT Delhi office. The IIFT 2016 application fee was Rs 1,550 for general category, Rs 775 for SC/ST/PH candidates and Rs. 4,500 for foreign nationals/NRI/Children of NRI candidates.
