MAH CET Analysis 2017 - Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension

The difficulty level of questions in this section was on higher lines. There were few question types which were new and a bit confusing for the test takers. ‘Combining two statements with a new starter statement without changing the meaning’ and ‘grammatical correction in three groups of words of a single statement’ were some such questions. Questions on ‘Missing sentence in the passage’ were time consuming and confusing as well.

There were two Reading Comprehension passages of moderate difficulty level questions. The questions were inference based and some were vocabulary based as well. The questions on ‘Statement not contributing to main idea of passage’ and ‘Select the correct/incorrect statements’ were easy but time-consuming. Cloze passage carried eight questions on the easier side. Para-jumbled type of questions did not appear in the test.
