About CAT 2013: CAT 2013 is a national level MBA entrance exam conducted by IIMs. The admission of the 13 IIMs and over 150 B-schools in India take place through CAT scores. The computer based CAT 2013 will be conducted by Prometric.

CAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria: The candidates should be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. For the SC, ST, OBC and DA category candidates, the minimum aggregate marks to be obtained is 45%. Final year graduation students can also apply.
CAT 2013 Selection Process: The candidates are selected by IIMs and other participating B-schools through the CAT scores followed by Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). On the basis of the CAT 2013 cut off marks, the students will be shortlisted by the B-schools. The shortlisted candidates will then have to appear for the GD, PI and WAT rounds conducted by the B-schools individually. Since the last 2 years, the 6 new IIMs of India, IIM Ranchi, Raipur, Rohtak, Trichy, Udaipur and Kashipur are conducting Common Admission Process (CAP) for the final admission.
CAT 2013 Exam Pattern: CAT 2013 is a computer based objective type multiple choice questions test. It will have 2 sections, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. The total duration is 140 minutes or 2 hours 20 minutes. Each section has 70 minutes. The total number of questions is 60, 30 questions in each section. The first section that appears in computer screen of the test takers is Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and after 70 minutes, the section will automatically switch to the second section, the Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.
CAT 2013 Application Procedure: The candidates have to buy the CAT 2013 Vouchers either online or from the select list of Axis Bank branches of India. After obtaining the voucher, they have to register online at the Official CAT 2013 website. The candidate has to fill in the details of the personal and educational background, contact details, work experience detail and apply for the IIM programs.
The next step is to schedule the test. They have to select a particular test center, date and time slot. After the online application process is over, they will receive the Admit Card and Application Summary through email.
