MICAT Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, with the 10+2+3 system, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • They must also have valid scores of any one of the national level management test, namely, CAT, XAT or GMAT to be eligible.
  • Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the test.

MICAT Counselling Details

  • The selection process at MICA involves three steps
  • In the first step, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores
  • The next step is to appear for MICAT either once or for twice for both MICAT-1 and MICAT-2
  • Psychometric test is a qualifier and those qualifying in the Psychometric test will be assessed for other sections
  • The shortlisted candidates are further assessed on the basis of Descriptive Test
  • Shortlist of candidates will be based on MICAT-1 or MICAT-2 or the better of the two scores if a candidate has taken both MICAT
  • Shortlisted candidates have to appear in Group Exercise and Personal Interview rounds
  • First phase of GE PI rounds are held in MICA Campus and 4 cities across India 
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of MICAT and CAT/XAT/GMAT scores as well as GE-PI scores
