IIM Indore Admission Criteria 2014-16

IIM Indore or the 6th IIM of India has announced the admission criteria for the academic year 2014-16. IIM Indore is last among the 13IIMs to announce the selection criteria of the PGP batch of 2014-16. The cut off for CAT 2013 will be 90 percentile, same as last year.
The admission in IIM Indore will take place through 2 steps, CAT 2013 and Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.

CAT 2013 cut off for IIM Indore
The following table will give you the CAT 2013 cut off for different category candidates.
SC, ST, PWD
IIM Indore mentions, “the above cut-offs are tentative and IIM Indore can modify, if required, at the time of shortlisting.”
The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores will be further shortlisted on the basis of a Composite Score which will be calculated on the basis of their SSC, HSC and Graduation marks. The weights given to these factors are as follows:
Bachelor’s Degree (BD)
Composite Score (100%) = SSC (35%) + HSC (35%) + Bachelor’s Degree (30%).
IIM Indore mentions, “A normalization scheme will be used to normalize the academic scores across Boards, Universities and Institutions prevalent.”
The ratio of the number of candidates to be selected and the number of shortlisted candidates is 1:10. The following table will give you the category wise number of candidates to be shortlisted for WAT and PI are as follows:

According to IIM Indore, if the number of candidates available itself is less than the proposed ten times to intake then all the candidates who are satisfying the minimum CAT percentiles will be short listed for WAT and PI.

Written Ability Test
Final Composite Score (FCS): SSC (17%) + HSC (17%) + BD (16%) + PI (35%) + WAT (15%)
Candidates short-listed for written ability test and/or interview will be intimated by the end of January 2014. The WAT and PI rounds will be held in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
