MAT May 2016 held on May 1; Computer based test from May 7
MAT or Management Aptitude Test second test of the year has been conducted on Sunday, May 1, 2016 across 61 cities in India and 2 international cities of Dubai and Singapore in paper pencil based mode. All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts the exam in both offline as well as online modes. The computer based test is scheduled from May 7, 2016.
The paper pencil based test was scheduled from 10 AM to 12.30 PM. The exam pattern was same as that of the previous tests. There were 200 objective and multiple choice questions from 5 sections, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. Based on student’s inputs, the test was of easy to moderate level.

Each question carried 1 mark and for each wrong answer there was negative marking of 0.25 marks or ¼ of the allotted marks. Although the exam consists of 5 sections, the Indian and Global Environment section scores are not added in the total marks.
The scores of MAT May 2016 will be accepted by 330 B-schools across India. After the declaration of result in the last week of May, the participating B-schools will announce the shortlist for the final selection procedure.
The application process had started from the last week of February and ended on April 19. However, the application deadline for the computer based exam was extended till April 29, 2016.
